Rolling snake eyes on the craps table is as close as most casino gamblers come to snakes but rumors cropped up last week of real snakes causing mayhem in a casino.
No one seems sure how the web rumor first cropped up however the Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem in Pennsylvania is doing its best to dispell the notion that patrons was bitten by snakes,
Casino spokesperson Julia Corwin spoke with several news outlets over the past week and affirmed that there has been absolutely no truth to the rumors that snakes were running amuck within the casino, stating that no gamblers have been bitten and that security footage showed absolutely zero evidence of any snakes or reptiles of any sort cruising the casino floor.
Pennsylvania state police also chimed in, as they have got a station on the casino and a trooper there reported "Absolutely zero snakes" within the casino when questioned to whether there have been any issues.
Apparently the rumor began on Facebook and was quickly circulated, with variations of the tall tale claiming that a doctor had diagnosed a patient with a snake bite and they had recently visited Sands Bethlehem.
Once the dreaded snake stories gained momentum several news outlets picked up the tale -- likely pointing to a horny slow week at the news front.
Sands Bethlehem also issued an official statement that said: "THERE WERE no reported incidents of snakes on our property. We don't allow any animals on property aside from service animals."
